Giving Persian art a voice in modern luxury

OUR STORY

I grew up in a family of art lovers, surrounded by Persian patterns, motifs, and the stories they carry. Persian art was never just decoration in our home, it was part of how I learned to see.

Years later, working inside Paris fashion houses showed me how deeply Persian art has shaped luxury and how rarely it's been named as such. The motifs were everywhere. The source, nowhere. That quiet erasure broke my heart.

I launched Pilardi in March 2025 to change that, to give Persian art its voice back, through objects worthy of being lived with.

What I love most is the moment a collector unboxes their piece. Watching someone meet an object for the first time, that's why I built this.

  • What We Make

    Pilardi is a universe of collectible Persian art, game boards, mirrors, boxes, textiles, jewellery, and objects for the home, each carrying a tradition you may not yet know by name. Some pieces are Khatam: the intricate marquetry of wood, bone, and metal inlay that remains one of the most demanding crafts in the world, and one of the least recognised in the West. Others bring Tazhib, the golden illumination of manuscripts; Persian miniature, the painted storytelling of centuries; block printing, hand-pressed onto cotton; and handmade jewellery woven from gemstones. Every piece is made to be lived with, a chess board you play on, a tablecloth you set the table with, a bracelet you wear.

    Craft deserves credit. The hands that shape a piece deserve to be named, not borrowed from.

    Beauty is lived with, not stored. A Pilardi piece is meant to be touched, displayed, played on, set with, worn, then passed to the next generation.

    Limited by intention. We choose what we offer carefully. Nothing is mass-produced. Nothing is duplicated without reason.

    Every piece is sourced from master artisans in our trusted
    network — chosen for the depth of their craft and the beauty of their work. We are now building our own Paris atelier to commission custom designs and deepen our standards of quality, piece by piece.
