Description:

This handmade wooden decorative box is crafted using traditional khatam marquetry and miniature tazhib techniques, created for collectors who value meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design.

A refined decorative box crafted for collectors who appreciate meticulous detail, time-intensive craftsmanship, and timeless aesthetic balance. Each piece in this trio features a full khatam marquetry exterior and interior, paired with a hand-painted tazhib lid created using fine miniature techniques.

This is not décor. It’s heritage craftsmanship in an accessible format.

Artistry & Craftsmanship

Every box is made through a multi-step process combining:

  • Full khatam marquetry (interior + exterior) composed of wood, bone, and brass micro-inlays

  • Raised tazhib painting on the lid, rendered with precision and layered detail

  • Gloss resin finish for depth, shine, and long-term preservation

The harmony of geometric khatam and vibrant tazhib creates a collectible piece suited for both contemporary and classical spaces.

Uses

Perfect as a jewelry box, personal keepsake case, entryway décor, or a thoughtful collector’s gift.
Lightweight, polished, and designed to be displayed.

Dimensions

Small (S): 12 × 10 × 6 cm
Medium (M): 14 × 10 × 6 cm

Collector Significance

Part of the Pilardi Atelier Marquetry Series, this design is produced in extremely limited quantities.
Each box has slight variations in khatam pattern and hand-painted tazhib details, ensuring no two pieces are ever identical.

A refined piece for decorators, gift-givers, and collectors who value artisanal work over mass production.
